Thanks, Gary and Crew. The New Roof Looks Great.

One of the things we want to share with you as part of this project and this blog is our review of various products and services. Whether you are tackling an old house or taking care of a regular house, we hope you will find these recommendations useful.
Our first recommendation is Bratcher Construcion, Inc. (www.bratcherconstructioninc.com) for any type of roofing project. Gary and the guys did a great job on our new roof, which was finished this week.
We were especially pleased with the way they dealt with unexpected problems with the existing roof. When they tore off the old roof and found rotten decking and ceiling joists, they took out the rotten material, replaced it and kept going. When the siding adjacent to the roof was in bad shape, they gave us options to repair or replace the siding for us.
When Gary quoted the job, he estimated based on needing to replace five sheets of plywood decking. By the time they finished, they had to replace 18 sheets, plus two sections of siding. Of course, there are extra charges for the extra work and materials, but Gary kept us informed and offered alternatives all along the way.
In addition to the actual work, Gary and the crew were genuinely nice guys and enjoyable to be around on the job site.
Truth be told, Gary got the job when he first met Andi at the house to see the project and give us a quote. The roof had several holes in it and rain was predicted for the next day. As an automatic response to holes in a roof, Gary got some shingles out of his truck, went up the ladder and patched the holes. No questions. No expectations. Just a man who wants everyone to have a good roof over their heads.
If you need help with your roof, give them a call and get a quote. We think you'll be happy with the results.
